Summer 2012 – A great time to plan for 2013!

I realized today that I haven’t posted in a while. 2012 is certainly flying by!! And who wouldn’t rather be at the beach at this time of year? But I won’t digress……
Summer is a good time to start looking into your 2013 trade show planning — when there is enough time to think thoroughly about the messages you want to convey to your audience and who you want to target in 2013. There are several areas that you want to keep in mind when you’re working on your program.
Social media is evolving so rapidly, that integrating it into your trade show program is a must. Everyone is using Twitter, or checking in on Foursquare, or writing on Facebook walls these days. If they aren’t using one medium, they are using another. But what does that mean to the average business? That means that one of these forums is probably right for you to target your customers!
Additionally, the fabrics being used in exhibits are becoming lighter in weight, and graphics can be easily refreshed and adjusted as your marketing message changes. In using these materials, you’ll be able to save some money for to use in other areas of your marketing budget, and be equally as efficient.
Lastly, do not neglect the importance of properly coordinating your trade show transportation. The last thing you want to do is arrive on the show floor – without your exhibit!! Be sure to work these details out carefully, and make sure that you’ve completed all of the appropriate paperwork.
